How Do I
Choose a Marriage Counselor?

Save a Marriage was created to inform and assist people in search of marriage or relationship counseling but aren’t familiar with the process of finding a counselor. If you are in need of guidance but don’t know where to turn, you’ve come to the right place.

What I do
I specialize in marriage and relationship counseling along with a full spectrum of individual treatment for depression, anxiety, addictions, PTSD and trauma-related disorders. It takes two individuals to make up a relationship, therefore some individual work is usually recommended in couples counseling, generally a mix and match between conjoint and individual treatment time.

How I can help
People are often held captive by issues that have their roots in the past, but continue to grow branches in the present. We often develop negative beliefs about ourselves that part of us knows are not true (for example, “I’m not good enough” or “I’m powerless”). Beliefs, however, are a very powerful force and often end up guiding the choices we make in the present, especially in relationships. These core beliefs run the show whether we are consciously aware of them or not. They can undermine our personal growth and progress significantly. Therefore their discovery and transformation are crucial to successful treatment outcomes.

If there are patterns in your life and behavior you want to change, I can help. Any person who wants to understand the nature of their problems and is willing to explore them can be helped to grow. You are not stuck with what has always been. With clarity and understanding, you can be more than you ever imagined.

In addition to standard psychotherapy interventions, I am also a Certified, Approved Consultant in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), an effective, efficient mind/body treatment approach for trauma (PTSD), addiction, depression and anxiety.
